Stephen Xu

High School Teacher

Stephen Xu obtained his bachelor’s degree in language and cultural studies in a Chinese University. After working some time as an interpreter, Stephen came to study Canadian studies at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo as an exchange student followed by earning a Master of Divinity degree at Wycliffe College at the University of Toronto.  Since then, he has been working as an evangelist in various churches in Ontario.  Additionally, he has been employed as a high school and college teacher for business-related courses in Ontario. He has been interested in integrating his Christian faith with teaching secular subjects. He is currently teaching International Business Fundamentals which is designed to encourage the students to engage in business activities from both theological and practical perspectives.  When he is off campus, he spends time in his ministry work serving new immigrants, refugees, and senior citizens in North York. For hobbies, he likes reading works related to C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien, walking and hiking, and exploring the natural parks across Ontario.
